The protocol

A true skin reset.

The medium-depth peel is a controlled chemical exfoliation that penetrates to the superficial dermis and triggers deep skin renewal. Mine combines TCA and phenol: TCA for the action, phenol for comfort during the session.

In general, a single session is enough to transform skin quality; it can be repeated if necessary. The protocol is performed only in autumn and winter and requires at-home skin preparation for 2 to 4 weeks before the session. A pre-treatment consultation is mandatory.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Yes, in the vast majority of cases. The medium-depth peel works deep enough to achieve a complete result in one session. A second session may be considered later, only if the indication justifies it.

TCA is the main active ingredient that performs the exfoliation. Phenol is added to improve comfort during the session. This is a single, combined peel—not two different peels.

Because peeling skin is extremely vulnerable to the sun. Any exposure during the 6 weeks that follow can trigger long-lasting pigmentation spots. Autumn and winter make strict sun avoidance realistic.

Preparation evens out the skin, activates cell turnover, and significantly reduces the risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. It is an essential step for safety and results.

Allow 7 to 10 days. Peeling is visible; the skin feels tight and sheds in patches between day 3 and day 10. You should therefore plan this peel for a time when you can stay at home.

The main risk is post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, more common in Mediterranean and darker phototypes. Preparation, protocol selection, and strict sun avoidance for 6 weeks limit this risk, which is assessed with you during the consultation.

During application, a moderate sensation of warmth and tingling, relieved by a fan. It is never truly painful.

A well-performed peel means renewed skin for a year.
