Polynucleotides Skin repair, at the cellular level
(anesthetic cream included)
sometimes visible up to 48h
+ maintenance at 6 months, to repeat annually
Repair the skin, at the cellular level.
Polynucleotides are purified wild salmon DNA fragments. Because salmon DNA is extremely similar to human DNA, the product is remarkably well tolerated. Its action is cellular: it signals skin cells to regenerate, repair themselves, and restore their normal function.
This is a skin repair treatment, not a volumizing one: it is not designed to fill or restructure contours. It works deep within the skin to improve its quality: density, elasticity, and regenerative capacity. At the practice I use Rejuran, the market leader and reference for next-generation polynucleotides.
Indications
Tired skin, dull skin
Thin and fragile skin
Colored dark circles (brown, blue, or purple)
Neck and décolleté
Back of hands
Perioral fine lines (barcode lines)
Crepey upper eyelids
Scars
Very sensitive skin
Contraindication: allergy to fish, shellfish, or salmon in particular.
How it works
Skin quality assessment. Verification of any allergies to fish, shellfish, or salmon, which are the main contraindications.
Application of anesthetic cream to the area to be treated. Setting time before injection, which explains the total session duration (± 60 minutes).
Micro-injections using blanket technique subcutaneously, with ultra-fine needle. Very tolerable sensation thanks to anesthesia.
Small papules will appear on the skin. For most patients they disappear within 4 to 6 hours; for some they may persist up to 48 hours. No other social downtime.
3 sessions spaced 4 weeks apart for the initial course, then a maintenance session at 6 months. This complete protocol should then be repeated annually to consolidate results over time.
Frequently asked questions
Where do polynucleotides come from?
From purified wild salmon DNA fragments. Salmon DNA is very similar to human DNA, which explains the product’s excellent compatibility and very good tolerance. At the practice I use Rejuran, the market-leading brand.
Will this give me volume?
No. Polynucleotides are not volumizers. Their action is cellular: they work on the very quality of skin tissue—density, elasticity, repair capacity—but they do not modify facial contours or volumes.
What is the difference with PRP?
PRP uses your own plasma and its growth factors. Polynucleotides are standardized and purified wild salmon DNA fragments. Both regenerate, but polynucleotides have a more targeted action on dermal quality and more reproducible efficacy from one session to another.
How many sessions are needed?
The initial course consists of 3 sessions spaced 4 weeks apart, followed by a maintenance session at 6 months. This complete protocol should be repeated annually to consolidate results over time.
What is the recovery like?
After injection, small papules will appear on the skin. For most patients they disappear within 4 to 6 hours; for some they may persist up to 48 hours. No other specific aftereffects.
Are there any contraindications?
Yes, one important contraindication: any allergy to fish, shellfish, and salmon in particular. This is systematically verified during consultation before any injection.
Which areas can be treated?
Face (tired skin, dull skin, colored dark circles, eyelids, barcode lines), neck, décolleté, and back of hands. Polynucleotides are also very well tolerated by reactive and sensitive skin.
